mouz win EPS Summer 2011
mousesports came from behind to beat ESC Gaming 2-1 and retain their EPS title.
The German giants had come out on top of the German League Cup on Saturday against the exact same opponent, so many expected that, with Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who could not play on day one, back in, it would be even easier.
But it wasn't, as mouz had to battle hard for the title, in what could be seen as a clear sign that ESC saved their best tactics to battle for the EPS title.
de_dust2 proved to be ESC Gaming's ground, a map they had lost 16-13 on Saturday. They dominated the first half (13-2) on the CT side, and though mouz tried to recover in the second half, ESC picked up the three rounds they needed to win the first map 16-9.
On to de_tuscan, mouz played much better on this map, and after winning the first half 12-3, they conceded just three rounds in the second session, as the scoreboard showed 16-6 for them.
de_train kicked off with mouz on the CT side, and though many expected them to rule the map in the first half, few predicted it would be a 14-1 thrashing at half time. ESC only managed to get two rounds in the second half, as a stubborn mouz picked up an impressive 16-3 victory.
