TCM-Gaming lose CS team
The Danish Counter-Strike division of TCM-Gaming have parted ways with the UK-based organization.
TCM-Gaming picked up the Danes in mid-January, ahead of the IEM5 European Championship Finals in Kiev, where the team managed a seven-to-eight place finish.
The team has since then undergone the change of one, as Taymaz "TAY" Babaiasl was replaced with Nikolaj "Nuggi" Larsen. The Danish team has attended a variety of events and never really managed to have an impact on the top three placements, but have establish themselves as a solid team in the playoffs.
The UK-based organization and the Danish team today announced that the cooperation with last no longer, with TCM-Gaming stating that the team's short-term goals did not work alongside TCM's long term plans for the team.
The Danish team have issued a statement to HLTV.org, which you can read below:
"Today we have decided to part ways with TCM-gaming. Overall we have been very happy with the support we got the first half of this year, but unfortunately the last two months, things have turned into a mess, with cancelled events and miscommunication between the players and the management.
It all started when TCM cancelled our Gamegune trip less than 2 weeks before the event. We know that the invite came late, but we still don't understand the reasons for cancelling the event. We were obviously very disappointed with that decision, as it was an event that we had been promised to attend and we had prepared for it. After the holidays we decided to give it a second chance. We then qualified for Global Challenge in Guangzhou and made a low budget for the event. Unfortunately it turns out that TCM was not interesting in sending us to that event either.
We believe that we over the past half year, have shown stability and become a regular top10 team in the world, and now deserves to play and attend the major events that we qualify for or get invited at. Apparently TCM have a different view on which events we should go to, so we have decided to leave and try to search for new organization, that hopefully can help us closer to the top and bring us to the big events.
We will continue to play together as a team and are looking for a new home that can support us for the upcoming Global Challenge and in the future. Until we find a new home, we will go under the name #notable and can be contacted on either irc or mail email@example.com"
