semXorah use two stand-ins for NY

Brazilian team semXorah have announced that they will be using two American players for the IEM6 Global Challenge New York, as Willian "LuL4!" Elias and Gustavo "MKR" Mekaru failed to obtain a visa to enter the United States.

With IEM6 Global Challenge New York coming up this week, the Brazilian representatives announced that they will not be able to attend with their regular lineup, due to Willian "LuL4!" Elias and Gustavo "MKR" Mekaru failed to secure a visa to enter the United States.

In order to compete in New York, the Brazilians have teamed up with Erich "ninja" Beyer and Adam "cypress" Abukoush, who both play for Mobility Gaming, an ESEA main division team.

semXorah will use the following lineup in New York:

Brazil Felippe "felippe1' Martins
Brazil Felipe "brtt" Gonçalves
Brazil Frederico "atx" Marques
United States Erich "ninja" Beyer
United States Adam "cypress" Abukoush

The team will have a tough time in the group stage, as they will be up against SK Gaming, WinFakt and CheckSix for further advancement in the IEM6 Global Challenge New York.

They could have tried to pick up some better American players than those two. Call Evo or Naz. They are both local to NYC.

Most cases when an argentinian and a brazilian are talking between them, seems that the brazilian can understand a lot that the other is saying, but is not the same when the argentinian has to listen to the brazilian... it's funny, I saw this a lot when a journalist are asking something to a Brazilian players after a match...

Thats true. At least I think brazilians (not sure about portugueses) can understand spanish (american or european) pretty easily in a general way. But spanish speakers have a really hard time trying to understand a conversation in portuguese. And I think the problem with the american players speaking spanish with the brazilian ones would be the americans not understanding the answers.
2011-10-12 23:22
1 reply
maybe, but if we take a strict look to the way to understand the portuguese language by the spanish speakers (at least in s.america) I think that we are distracted by the accent too much to pay attention to the words...
2011-10-12 23:27
evo lives in florida and naz (steno) is playin for UMX as a stand in... better to see like nepo and quas but one of the american guys knows the brazilian so thats how they got on there. they are both good players... only teamwork they will lack

The team is going to travel, buy some stuff and sell in brazil for higher prices... They know that don´t have any chance to win or even that is really hard to attend to playoffs. But good lucky, even if i would prefer to see Mandic or Gamecrashs because reckon they would have a chance

To be honest, we are growing now despite the international crisis, on the other hand the cost for import product because of the taxes are to high, so it´s really cheaper to buy them abroad.
