The Romanian DreamHack partner PGL has stressed to HLTV.org that the upcoming event in Bucharest will stay with CS 1.6.

Following yesterday's announcement about DreamHack Valencia switching from 1.6 to CS:GO, it was aired in the community that the €10,000 tournament could be heading in the same direction.

PGL, who is DreamHack's Romanian partner, today contacted HLTV.org to stress that the tournament will stick with the planned 1.6 tournament.

DreamHack Bucharest is due to take place October 20-21, with seven of the sixteen teams already confirmed, including giants such as Natus Vincere and fnatic.

We remind you that four teams will qualify via our two online qualifiers, read more about these by clicking here.

2012-09-13 19:51
lulz gametracker tracks 35 cs:go servers in whole romania, only 7 of them not empty, so this would be hilarious if they switched to cs:go
2012-09-13 19:51
How do you choose the teams considering you don't know the lineups of them? :)
2012-09-13 19:51
Makes sense, seven teams already confirmed (including Na'Vi, fnatic and two brazilian teams, who would travel half the world to play this) and some more to join after the qualifiers.

2012-09-13 20:41
This is not even news though is it ,it was always supposed to be a 1.6 tourny lol, no one ever even said it was going to be changed lol.
2012-09-13 20:43
Not sure if trolling or retarded. DH Valencia.
2012-09-13 20:46
So wat?dh valencia was changed due to the fact that 1.6 could only muster up 3 teams, now if 7 teams are alredy confirmed for this why would they change it, since it was always supposed to bea 1.6 tourny.
2012-09-13 20:48
only 3 teams is wrong, chrisJ already confirmed that they didnt accept all teams. they pretty much were trying to get a premier event with only 5k prizepool which was set to fail from the beginning.
