After TeG, another local representative has been found for DreamHack Bucharest. IGG earned their spot in the main tournament by winning the second Romanian qualifier, defeating NBK in the final 16-2 on de_dust2.
As the 10,000€ DreamHack Bucharest event nears, with only little more than a month remaining, the qualifiers for it are heavily under way. The most recent team that secured its spot comes from the second Romanian online qualifier which took place yesterday.
Compared to the first qualifier when 19 teams took part, this time only 13 signed up, and among them wasn't the last time's finalist Eq. However, Romanian WCG representatives from 2011, IGG, were the new face in this qualifier and they were heavily favored to take the first place.
IGG didn't disappoint and they strolled to the final, where they met the first qualifier's 3rd placed team Natural Born Killers. It turned out to be an easy match in which IGG triumphed 16-2 on de_dust2, securing themselves a spot in the main tournament.
IGG's lineup is:
Paul-Constantin "Wicked" Dordea
Alexandru-Ionut "tALAZIz" Leoveanu
Horatiu-Andrei "eXIt" Toade
Alexandru-Nicolae "jasoN" Stangu
Sorosh "surushi" Ahmadi
