cArn to step in for fnatic in K1 League

fnatic have announced that Patrik "cArn" Sättermon will play for the team as a stand-in if they reach the K1 League final.

The Swedish player, who has been out of action since retiring from gaming in March, had announced on Facebook that he would make a "mini comeback" next month.

It was thought that he was refrering to DreamHack Winter, but fnatic have now revealed that Sättermon will be given the chance to wear the team's shirt again if they manage to beat ETeng and reach the K1 League final.

Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who is currently fnatic's in-game leader, will be unable to take part in the tournament decider because of some school commitments during the second week of November, so a replacement will be necessary.

This means that if fnatic reach the Grand Final in the K1 League, which is played in CS:Online, they will be represented by the following players:

Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
Martin "trace" Heldt
Andreas "MODDII" Fridh
Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson
Patrik "cArn" Sättermon

Lets hope, they can beat ETENG. Can't wait to see cArn in action ;)

Well, unless FYRR73 has started calling again, karrigan has been the IGL. So I'm guessing cArn will be IGL.

Don't wanna sound like education doesn't matter, but can't school commitments wait a bit when €12,000 (difference between 1st and 2nd place) are on the line and probably more than that? assuming they have a much higher chance winning with karrigan if they reach the finals.

i think he is actually saying that this 12.000 difference might be an important factor (or excuse) to be presented in order to postpone or change his school commitments. it should be treated as a work issue/compromise, don't you think so? I'm pretty sure a lot of schools consider this kind of incompatibility for exclusive changes on their commitments, since one of the most important principals in school is to learn to be responsible and assume work-obligations. Also, while a simple school task or work can be done anytime, this tournament final can only be played once! :)

i get what ur saying but thing is school is not gonna wait for 1 guy. exams is a certain day and thats why you cant do it some other time. so if he skips he probably have to study that shit from start again and then its not worth it at all.

sure, totally agree with you that it wouldn't be worth it! but aren't there options for reschedule exams? i mean, there are a lot of important causes (like going to hospital, loosing someone important, blabla) that could force you to postpone the exams. in some cases, work obligations might be considered as one of these... (i.e. Gux attending some big events for fnatic even working as a fireman!!)

I can ofcourse reschedule my exam, which I have done before in january with mousesports when I attented IEM Kiev, but it was in the beginning of my study. This exam im going through on 5th semester now, requires me to be in the university for 10 tuesdays in a row, to complete the exam. This is not an ordinary exam, which would take place in january and if you then would fail it, you would have your 2. chance in february. If I fail this exam, I will be waiting one year to complete this exam, this would mean I have to wait one year to finish my study, since im on the 5th semester. So I tried to work something out and talked to teachers, but I cant do anything, if I could I would have done it, but waiting one year to finish my bachelor when I used 2½ year on it now, would be very stupid. (It was just to clarify some things, if people would be interested about the reason I cant participate)
