dAT Team to attend Mind Sports

November 21st, 2012 00:14

dAT Team have confirmed to HLTV.org that they will be in attendance at the Mind Sports event in Prague next month.

The Czech event, held at the five-star Corinthia Hotel between December 1st-4th, will hold one of the last CS:GO tournaments of the year, and it is gathering a lot of attention from the community with its $10,000 prize purse.

VeryGames and MYDGB.NET have already been announced as the first two participants, and dAT Team have now indicated that they will make the trip to Prague, too.

The Russian team, who are also competing in the ESL Major Series and in SLTV Starseries, will not be competing with their regular line-up, though, as Georgi "worldedit" Yaskin is unable to travel because of problems with his passport.

hooch to travel to Prague with dAT Team

To replace him, dAT Team decided to call former Virtus.pro member Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov, who is currently playing for Rush3D.

This means that the following players will represent dAT Team at Mind Sports:

Russia Denis "seized" Kostin
Russia Alexey "ub1que" Polivanov
Russia Nick "latro" L.
Russia Igor "InsoM" Cherkasov
Russia Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov

With dAT Team's confirmation, the participants' list for Mind Sports now looks as follows:

France VeryGames
Slovakia MYDGB.NET
Russia dAT Team

I wonder if Richard Lewis will be keen on inviting teams of all 1.6'ers like ESC or if he'll reject them out of spite for the 1.6 fanbase He sure behaves like a child young enough to do that.
2012-11-21 01:38
yeah because that benefits the scene doesn't it?
2012-11-21 01:43
What does...rejecting them or behaving like a child? And I do get the sarcasm I'm just not sure about the object being implied
2012-11-21 04:40
Ok perhaps I should rephrase, how would Mr. Lewis benefit if he was simply to "reject 1.6er's". They aern't "1.6er's" anymore, and if you want a great spectacle for an event, for both teams playing, and spectators, then you want the best teams possible. It wouldn't benefit Cadred/HM/eSports as a whole if he was to reject teams. I imagine it's a first come first served basis, and any teams who pay up quickly will be able to play.

Obviously strategically it makes sense, I spose I was just referencing the fact that he has a bit of a temper and is an opinionated guy. I mean, the greatest question of the universe has always been who is the bigger douche, lpkane or Richard Lewis? :P
2012-11-21 05:54
Add fanatical 1.6ers to that list and you got a real contest.. swings both ways, he's an esports writer he has to be opinionated otherwise what's the point in being a journalist! Yeah he's said some questionable things but he's always told it true and has never tried to say that CS1.6 hasn't been great
2012-11-21 09:02
have you seen how jaded the guy is? read any of his articles on cadred and he tries to belittle the 1.6'ers every chance he gets.
2012-11-21 05:47
U 1.6 guys from 1.6 community are so stupid that its not even funny... As u can see there are already 1.6 teams and mixes of css/1.6 players invited. After all they managed to do 10K offline event. Now tell me what HLTV did ? Nothing they are not even capable of doing something like this. So why dont u blame HLTV ? An even if they invite only css teams (which he didnt as u can see) its still something and its better than nothing (HLTV).
2012-11-21 09:15
You mad? I'm pretty sure if HLTV staff wanted to make such a tournament they would do, but what for? They are CS Coverage site, not cadred 20x games project.
2012-11-21 10:06
Then blaming a someone who actually do something rather than nothing seems logic...oh bitchplease.jpg

That's why hltv was granted to pick participants/organize qualifiers for GO tournaments...because they can't do shit
2012-11-21 10:20
they done that already --- hltv.org/news/7758-nix0n-in-charge-of-ms.. plese go back in your cave
2012-11-21 10:24
MSI beat it. Nixon in charge. Not HLTV own event. Cool story bro. But those are 2 different things...
2012-11-21 10:30
we have hosted a wide array of qualifiers online (xperia 2011, dh bucharest, dh winter, etc), nix0n has been charge of tournaments (quite a few dreamhacks), i have hosted my own tournaments (areena). if we were in the business of hosting tournaments we obviously could do it under hltv.org and then have a lot more money as well, but we aren't. it's good cadred is moving on to something else though, they obviously can't compete in coverage despite big promises prior to cs:go's release ^^
2012-11-21 11:36
And what exactly do you think cadred's involvement is in this event?
2012-11-21 17:34
wud u stop with this bs ? he never said he doesnt like 1.6 nor 1.6 teams , what the problem was the idiocy of some hltv users "1.6 zealots" like ur showing now
2012-11-21 10:18
Good luck to dAT team, should be good seeing some different teams at big LAN events :D
