kiko exits TD, joins We Are GO Players

Shortly after Team Dynamic recruited Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert for Philippe-Olivier "PEX" Crépin, Francis "kiko" Lao has departed the team to join up with We Are GO Players.

Lao had joined Team Dynamic following a disappointing loss at the North American ESWC qualifier. He was a part of a package with Braxton "swag" Pierce, who was rumoured to only be willing to join if Lao could come along.

adreN & co will have to think of a new pickup

Now Team Dynamic are down to just four players with Crétin still listed as a backup on the team's roster, so the former North American Counter-Strike: Source powerhouse will have to look for a new member.

"I enjoyed my time with Team Dynamic and I have nothing against them. I just didn't feel the bond was strong enough with them. But now im on a team with these group of guys who I've known for a couple years and I'm excited to play with them again! I want to thank Dynamic's sponsors and the great traveling experience that they gave me to DreamHack, Lao told ESEA News.net"

This roster change leaves Team Dynamic with a following roster of four members, and Philippe-Olivier "PEX" Crépin as a backup in the roster. With ESEA kicking up in a week, TD is expected to make up a quick decision.

Team Dynamic

United States Eric "adreN" Hoag
Canada Keven "AZK" Lariviere
United States Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
United States Braxton "swag" Pierce

Lao has joined up with We Are GO Players, which features former ESEA Invite CS 1.6 champion with Back2Back, Christian "sobo" Soboleske, as well as Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez and Chris "TRULS" Navratil from UMX, the latter as a backup.

We Are GO Players finished the previous ESEA CS:GO Invite season with a 11-5 record that qualified them for the playoffs, but the team was unable to attend the finals in Dallas.

United States Francis "kiko" Lao

Both teams are set to begin their champaign soon in the thirteenth, global season of ESEA Invite CS:GO which will feature $47,000 in prize money as well as LAN finals in North America.

There are like a thousand reasons to do that, starting with the one that he probably didnt like that they removed PEX.

Problem is, will swag lose motivation in TD now? He's been a teammate with kiko for so long, they're still playing together in 1.6 iirc, he might not want to carry on without kiko. This is a real opportunity for TD though, they really need to make the right pickup here, shame that the change is so close to the start of S13.
2012-12-01 16:02
Now their two worst players are gone, can't wait to see how much damage the "new" Team Dynamic squad can do :-D

nice, now td can be a really good team. kiko and pex needed to get cut for that to happen
2012-12-01 18:25
kiko and pex were the underperformers for TD so this is good news. Isn't TM from Curse still looking for a team?
2012-12-01 19:55
trade one under performer for another?
