RpK announces retirement
VeryGames have announced that Cédric "RpK" Guipouy has retired from gaming with immediate effect.
The French rifler had been part of the current VeryGames roster since 2010, when he joined the team from ROCCAT, and helped them throughout one of their most dominant periods in the CS:Source scene.
After a somewhat inauspicious start to life in CS:GO, Guipouy gave a tremendous account of himself at DreamHack Winter, where he was the event's top player on a whopping 1.38 rating despite VeryGames finishing runners-up to NiP.

He has now surprisingly decided to put an end to an illustrious career, which includes no fewer than 41 titles, to work with his father in a car-related business.
"Today I announce that I have decided to stop playing totally to pursue another project in my other passion, cars," he told VeryGames' website. "The six years which I played CS has given me moments I will never forget.
"I would like to thank the staff from VeryGames and my teammates with whom I had a lot of fun ingame and who allowed me to realize things which I couldn’t have without them.
"Of course I would also like to thank the community, even though I was very discreet, the backup you gave was very important. It is time for me to turn a page in my life and to open myself for new things."
The announcement will certainly fuel speculation that Imaginary Gaming ace Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom is on his way to joining the team.
After Imaginary's Richard "shox" Papillon told Vakarm.net that Benrlitom had left the team to join VeryGames, the French organisation issued a statement stressing that the Belgian star had not been recruited to replace Nathan "NBK" Schmitt, as rumours had suggested.
In a statement issued by VeryGames, the organisation claims that it is currently looking at "multiple solutions", and that potential recruitments will be tried out in the next few days.
VeryGames currently have the following lineup:
Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans
Kenny "kennyS" Schrub
Nathan "NBK" Schmitt
Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux
