finals begin on Thursday

The League's LAN final is set to begin on Thursday, February 14th with the top four teams from the online stage. Anexis, EYES ON U, Dejavue and Xapso will battle it out to get a hold of the prizepool worth €1,800.

The Danes are onto yet another domestic championship as the online stage of League sponsored by SteelSeries has come to an end.

Top four teams from the league have qualified for the LAN final taking place at HKLAN which will run between February 14th-17th. HKLAN also acts as a host to a €5,300 tournament about which we will post more information tomorrow.

The last season's champions from Anexis got to the top with a comfortable 10-1-0 score leaving EYES ON U behind them on second place with 8 wins and 3 losses.

Pimp & co will be defending their title from the last season

While it could seem Lucidez qualified with 7 wins, the League awards a win with only two points instead of common three. POPPERS, Lucidez and Dejavue were therefore tied on 14 points which resulted in a three way tie decided by head-to-head matches. Dejavue took third, POPPERS fourth and Lucidez fifth place with the last having been declined a chance to take part in the LAN final.

The list of qualified teams with their respective lineups is following:

Denmark Anexis (MSL, Pimp, gla1ve, Nico, Nille)
Denmark EYES ON U (tenzki, crell, Disko, Helsing, Inzta)
Denmark Dejavue (Garff, Jonnaman, carnees, troller, zeled)
Denmark Xapso (Snappi, BERRY, EXR, SFM, zeeth)

Fnatic seem to have been struggling ever since they changed the lineup, which was only confirmed as they failed to qualify after losing to everyone mentioned above except for Dejavue.

POPPERS apparently made a deal with Xapso which applies for this tournament only, therefore they will play under the name at HKLAN.

Thursday, February 14th:

21:00 Denmark Anexis vs. Denmark Xapso

21:00 Denmark EYES ON U vs. Denmark Dejavue

Friday, February 15th:

12:00 3rd place decider

15:00 Grand Final

The four teams have a chance to get a hold of following prizes:

1. €1,066 + HKLAN tickets
2. €533 + HKLAN tickets
3. €200 + HKLAN tickets
4. HKLAN tickets

Stay tuned to throughout the event as we are going to prepare hot match pages and GOTV with statistics included for the League sponsored by SteelSeries.

Yes - but his team only qualified to the Second Division. Top two placements from second division had invite into first division (Anexis, Fnatic, EOU etc). They alongside with my team (ILDAL LIONS) Qualified for First division next season, so you will see more to both Colon's team (logiX) & ours on HLTV when the next season starts :).

we lost to some dAT-TEAM who were kicked for cheating in the gaming league - it was a qualifier where we lost 1-2 in maps sadly. But never easy against hackers! xD

I know we've discussed this earlier on, but even though dAT cheated, you were granted a second chance in the lowerbracket, but you weren't able to beat myR, so you had to play in the 2nd division. It was not like, dAT was the reason, why you guys didn't qualify.

wasn't much of a cheer after feeling you lost to cheaters, however it was our own fault - and im pretty sure we showed everyone that we belong in 1 division, we also beat myR 16-4 in the regular season. dAT was the reason why we didnt qualify, how can you say they weren't? it was the match to decide the 1 division - they had 2 cheaters in it - i dont really care about it now, but if thats how you see things, we should just end this talk. ciaO!

It was their "fault" that you didn't qualify from the upperbracket, indeed. That being said, I really think it's a huge lack of moral, if you weren't able to get yourselves together and fight your way through lowerbracket. Furthermore you didn't know for sure, that they cheated until later on.

But that's not how it works when ranking teams. They haven't attended any officials yet, so you don't know how good or bad they are, but you're probably right.
